Terms of sale for online orders

Last updated · October 2026

Who you are buying from

This website is run by Material Matters (GSTIN 07ABYFM6170E1ZT), registered office F 168C, Basement, Rajouri Garden, New Delhi 110027. You can reach us at connect@materialmatters.in or +91 75799 66178.

These terms apply to orders placed and paid for on this website. Projects, bulk orders and anything we quote for separately are covered by the written quotation and agreement for that project.

Placing an order

An order is placed when you complete checkout and your payment is received. We then email you an order confirmation. If we cannot supply a piece (for example it is out of stock or was priced in error), we will tell you and refund what you paid for it in full.

Prices and tax

Prices are in Indian rupees. Prices on product pages include GST, charged at the rate that applies to each piece and shown at checkout before you pay. A GST tax invoice is issued for every order.

Some pieces show "price on request": these are quoted, not sold online.

Payment

Payment is taken online through Razorpay (cards, UPI and net banking). We do not see or store your card details. Cash on delivery is not offered on this website today.

Delivery

Delivery times and charges are set out on the Shipping & delivery page. The lead time on each product page is our best estimate, not a guaranteed date.

Cancellations, returns and refunds

These are set out on the Returns, cancellations & refunds page.

Product information

We take care that photographs, sizes and descriptions are accurate. Colours on a screen can differ slightly from the finished piece, and natural materials vary. Finishes and options are confirmed in your order confirmation.

Ownership and risk

Ownership of a piece, and the risk of loss or damage to it, pass to you when it is delivered.

Liability

Our liability for an order is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have under Indian consumer law.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of New Delhi have jurisdiction.

Changes

We may update these terms. The terms that apply to your order are the ones on this page on the day you placed it.
